
Sundance Institute and David Linde. The former CEO of Participant Media and Universal Pictures chairman, has been named the permanent CEO of the important international institute.
Linde will begin his tenure on Feb. 17, after Sundance’s final film festival in Park City and before it heads to its new home in Boulder, Colorado. In his new post, the Hollywood veteran will lead the nonprofit, which oversees an expansive network of artist labs, grants and fellowships, as well as its namesake festival.
In a statement, Linde says that he looks forward to advancing “the visionary programs and Festival, while ensuring that bold, original storytelling continues to thrive and that the Institute’s truly central role for creative storytellers and their champions endures.”
